Stand Firm, Bobi Wine To The People Of Soroti

Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, leader of NUP, has urged the people of Soroti to stand firm against any force from the government.

Bobi Wine has condemned the police for arresting people amidst elections. According to him, these are all tactics by the government to see that at the end of today, Attan is not the winner. Bobi Wine used his social media platforms to pass on this message.

“What is happening in Soroti must be condemned by all citizens. The panicky regime is arresting leaders and polling agents to ensure Hon. Attan Moses isn’t declared winner. The very things they did in Kayunga and Omoro! To the people of Soroti, please stand firm!”

However, some members of the public say this should not shock the opposition at all. NRM supporters have always said on TV that the opposition will never win any other by-election in Uganda.

“They already assured us, no by-election will be won by the opposition. So, I guess we shouldn’t act shocked, this country was taken by a coup, multiple small “endo-like” coups have been staged to give the main existing coup a stay, power and legitimacy. Elections in African countries are ceremonial and state-directed. Nothing like one has to be determined by the electorate. The state can decide who should be the leader of the people,” a one Odong Isaac Jeje said.

Bobi Wine was also in Soroti on Tuesday with Dr. Kizza Besigye Campaigning for Hon. Attan Moses.

According to him, the only reason Attan will not go through is when police and Electoral Commission do injustice to the people.
