Thank You For Leaving A Legacy – Ojok Oulanyah Commemorates His Dad

Andrew Ojok Oulanyah has commemorated his father who passed on earlier this year in March. Jacob Oulanyah died in the US where he was receiving treatment from after most of his body organs failed.

Much as there were allegations that the former speaker was poisoned, up until now, there is no official report about that. In fact Museveni clearly stated that such rumors should not be heard of because they have no basis.

However, the legacy of Oulanyah has surely lived on through his son who is currently the MP of Omoro county which his father also represented.

It was an easy win for him because apparently, the people in Omoro had and have nothing but respect for their former legislator. As a way of honoring him, they voted his son to replace him.

Andrew Ojok Oulanyah has thanked his father for building a legacy that has opened doors to them in various ways. Today, it’s officially six months since the former speaker passed on.

“It’s been 6 months since you relocated! Your Old Friend is now a Minister and doing a tremendous job! Your successors are ably holding fort! Your friends have continued to hold our hands! Your name still opens doors for us! Thank you for leaving a legacy! Rest easy!” Ojok wrote.

Nevertheless, some members of the public told him to keep Oulanyah’s legacy stain free.

“My only appeal, please value and maintain papa’s legacy to live forever and avoid some of the things that might lead u to draw stains on the name he built for ages. Remember any bad habits you associate yoself to, Uganda shall use papa’s name 2 describe you,” a one Isaac Arereng said.
