Timothy Bradley defeats Jessie Vargas in WBO belt

Timothy Bradley defeated Vargas in the last minute by unanimous decision on Saturday night, claiming the WBO welterweight title.

Bradley controlled and dominated the fight against the previously unbeaten Jessie Vargas in about 16 seconds to end the final round, Bradly was right punched and he nearly fell down, he was hurt badly, but he managed to recover, the referee Pat Russel stopped the fight in the first 10 seconds thinking that was the end of the fight.

He raised his hands up meaning he was ready to continue defend himself, he begun punching Vargas.

Later Bradly said,” I was hit by a had shot which hurt me and I knew where I was all the time.”

There was a lot of confussion in the ring after the match, but Bradley won in unanimous decision – 117-111, 116-112 and 115-112 on the scorecards, he won his fifth world title and interim WBO welterweight belt.

Vargas was not convinced with Bradly’s Saturday night victory, he said that he demands a rematch.
