Tina Fierce’s Suspension Wasn’t Because Of Gashumba’s Cyber Bullying Campaign

Urban TV presenter Christine Karungi aka Tina Fierce is facing current suspension from Urban TV. There were reports that the suspension came as a result of her talking negatively about Sheila Gashumba on air.

However, Tina showed proof of her suspension being unrelated to Sheila Gashunba’s Cyber Bullying campaign.

On Thursday, Tina posted on her social media revealing the real reason she is facing suspension from TV. She answered the persistent question from her fans and followers why she is still off air.

‘’Okay… this is the last time I’m explaining why I’m off air! Stop asking me in my DMs, bloggers here u go too coz am tired of answering questions… PS… look at the date. #ivehaditFace with tears of joy y’all is relentless with the questions and thoughts…’’ Tina wrote.

She also dropped a letter from the Uganda Media Council addressed to her, The New Vision Printing and Publishing Company, and Scoop on Scoop producer. The letter headed in the matter of disciplinary proceedings against the producer of the show and Ms. Christine Karungi.

The reference was a breach of the code of ethics/minimum standards of broadcasting and promoting inflammatory/hates speech.

The main reason happened to be Tina accusing minister Kuteesa of favoritism. She accused him of allowing Mr. Ben Kavuya of bringing members of his family back to Uganda during the pandemic. She used unsavory language and went as far as wishing death to Minister Kuteesa and the Kavuya family.

As she spoke, she didn’t say whether she was dealing with the fact or just an opinion and gave no direct reason.
