Tractor Supplier Demands Tax Waver

Engineering solution limited Uganda’s most reliable agriculture equipment supplier has demanded that government waves off tax levied on tractor components such as trailers to boost commercial agriculture and food production.

Engineering Solutions (U) Ltd (ENGSOL) is Uganda’s exclusive distributor of TAFE tractors and a dealer of Massey Ferguson tractors and equipment. ENGSOL complements these world class tractors with implements from Baldan, Agromaster, Fimaks and Falcon.

Engineering solution sales manager willy mwesigwa says current tax on tractor components hinders farmers from buying the equipment’s because increase the price of the tractor.

“We appreciate government and the president for promoting modernization of agriculture through commercial agriculture and support from mother ministries purchasing tractors, however we wish the government to wave off tax on tractor components to make if affordable for more Ugandans embrace commercial farming,”Mwesigwa said.

As market leader engineering solution has discounted tractor prices by 15%for more Ugandans purchase these equipment’s ahead of the February and March planting season kicks off.

“the 15% discount we are offering on tractor sales this season is to give back to our farmers as they prepare to go into planting season not face other expenses. They can utilize this money to pay seedlings and other items ,”Mwesigwa explained.

Over 175 tractors have so far been sold by engineering solution to National agriculture advisory services, national agricultural research organization and state house to boasts commercial farming under operation wealth creation drive.
