“We Shall Not Allow Laziness,” Nabbanja Responds To Hillary’s Letter

Prime Minister, Robinah Nabbanja has responded to Eng. Hillary Onek’s letter saying they shall not allow laziness. She says she will not sit down and watch ministers she calls lazy fail to execute their duties.

She said this while speaking to journalists in response to the letter Onek wrote. The PM went ahead and told journalists that she didn’t even receive the letter but read it via social media like everyone else.

“I have not seen the letter. If the minister decided to address me through social media, then that’s different. It is indiscipline but I haven’t seen the letter. Maybe he was still formulating it. People are telling me that the signature on the letter is his. My offices and his are near each other,” said Nabbanja.

She informed journalists that Hillary Onek has not been attending meetings as he ought to.

Unfortunately, he never gives any reason for missing these meetings despite their importance. This according to her is laziness and she can’t allow it to go on.

“Sometimes we hold a number of meetings, he [Onek] does not attend and even today he didn’t attend. We can’t let Ugandans be suffocated. I told you on the onset of my term of office that we shall not allow laziness.”

In his letter, Eng. Hillary Onek said Nabbanja has overstepped her boundaries.

This he says he has been watching with so much “displeasure.” He even threatened to resign if she thinks she can get all the work done by herself.
