You Can’t Win Alone, You Need People

Sometimes we want to lie to our selves that we don’t need people to win, to fulfill your dream. That is such a big lie. The truth of the matter is that you can not win alone. You always need someone to guide you and help you in one way or the other. It may not be in terms of money, but definitely you will need counsel from some one who is where you want to get.

A wise man once said that if you want to go fast, go alone but if you want to go far, go with people. This is very true. The issue is that when you move alone, you will truly go fast but time will come when you will need some one to help you and unfortunately you may have cut off all communication. When you move with people, some one will always be there to hold your hand when you feel low.

The urge to win alone is just driven by selfish motives. You want all credit to go to you just for people to hold you in high regard. What is the problem with winning as a team, how bad is it to receive credit in a group. The fact is you can never compare work done in a group of determined people to work done individually.

When you move alone, you are just shutting out the opportunity to learn something new from someone. Something you probably do not know at all but could be helpful. You can not go so far alone and that is the truth. God created us in great numbers so that we learn from each other, we grow together and work together.

Its a very barbaric attitude to shut out people even when you know you need them. It is very important to know that people are useful in our lives. Of course we have to be selective, that is right, but not too cautious again that we lack who to trust. It is fun to win together, it is fun to be with people but more so it is wise to work with people, you may not go fast but at least you will go far.
