Back To Square One, Curfew Moved From 9:00pm To 7:00pm

Curfew time has been moved back to 7:00pm from 9:00pm. This is where we started from last year and later adjusted to 9:00pm as cases went down.

According to Museveni, people make very unnecessary movements that are contributing to surge of the virus. This is the reason the president has in addition to closing transport, also reinstated and adjusted curfew to limit movement.

Museveni even went ahead to say, the LDUs and military are probably not doing a good job. He thinks they should be doing more to make sure the public obeys the curfew time as stated.

Further more, he closer Kikuubo and other surrounding businesses for also 42 days. The president emphasized that only immediate family members attend burials.

He has further warned churches to stop congregating and yet they are under lockdown as well. However, he encouraged online services.

“The churches, mosques, and sports sessions are congregating settings and are a source that fuels rapid virus transmission. All places of worship and sports events remain suspended for 42 days

People working in markets have been allowed to keep working. Just like last year though, they have been advised to sleep at work.

This according to Museveni is another way of preventing the spread of the virus. Factories are also still operating but still advised to keep their workers there.

Meanwhile, according to statistics, Kampala and Wakiso are the leading two districts among the top 20 districts with covid cases. In the last 21days, Kampala registered 15,347 cases while Wakiso registered, 2,214.
