Big Eye Speaks About His Childhood Dream Of Being A Star

Singer Ibrahim Mayanja also known as Big Eye Starboss has spoken about his childhood dream of being a star. He said he is so proud that he has managed to achieve and maintain it for so long.

The singer became famous years ago through his singing. He has had ups and downs where fans thought he would finally give up but fortunately he has never.

One of the incidents is during the campaigns of 2021 general elections. Big Eye started supporting the ruling party and even went ahead to campaign for them in different areas of Uganda.

He said he did that because of money as he was promised to gain a lot. Fans were not having it because they expected Big Eye to support a fellow artiste Bobi Wine.

During that time, Big Eye was harassed by fans, they couldn’t allow him to get on stage to perform.

The moment the singer stepped on stage, they immediately threw bottles at him. That went on for some time until he apologized and requested fans to let him perform like he used to do.

According to Big Eye, through that trying time he would have left singing and probably moved out of the country like his fellow musicians do. But because he had to chase childhood dreams, he couldn’t stop trying to get on stage which finally worked.

“I had a dream of being a star when I was young and I am happy that I achieved it. I have gone through hard times where people thought I would give up but I have never given up,” he said.
