DJ Jacob Omutuzze Reveals Ugandan Music Industry Has Failed Terribly

Radio presenter and now politician DJ Jacob Omutuuze has revealed that the Ugandan music industry has terribly failed. He said fans shouldn’t expect so much this year because artistes are not willing to work harder.

Omutuzze has been in the media for years and he usually analyses music. He has beefs with different artists and at the same time, he is friends with the others.

As a person who has played music, he said he knows when the industry is booming and when it is not doing what people expect them to do.

The former radio presenter also revealed that this year, a few artists have released songs. Most of them are planning on doing concerts without new music.

He said some other artists are just investing their time in the federation and associations to get free money from the government instead of releasing good music.

He further asked fans not to raise their hopes this year. This is because there will be a few hit songs and those songs will not even last longer in the market.

Omutuuze also said as he sees the Ugandan music industry, they can’t even compete with the neighboring countries. This clearly shows how bad it is doing.

“The Ugandan music industry has failed terribly. I don’t even need to be saying this because everyone sees it. We were among the countries with good music, at the moment no one talks about us,” he said.
