DP Rigathi Gachagua Troubles Increase As Kenyans Plan To Impeach Him

The Deputy President of Kenya Rigathi Gachagua is in more trouble as citizens are now planning to impeach him. The National Assembly Clerk has announced locations across all 47 counties where Kenyans can present their views on Deputy President Gachagua’s impeachment on October 4, 2024.

The session will run from 8 am to 5 pm. Those in Nairobi will meet at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).

Rigathi Gachagua problems stem from accusations of inciting ethnic hatred and undermining devolution. His inflammatory statements, combined with allegations of corruption, paint a disturbing picture of his leadership Some Kenyans are saying that Gachagua’s refusal to support key government agencies while attacking them in public raised serious concerns about his integrity.

A Deputy President must uphold constitutional mandates, not undermine

The others are claiming that trying to expose the government’s dark side on the corruption in the public is the reason why they don’t want him in office any more.

With all these statements from different Kenyans, the government is giving them a chance to participate in the impeachment. This is whether they want him to stay in office or want him to leave.

On social media, Kenyans are calling out President Ruto saying that he needs to leave office too if the deputy president leaves. This is because they have been working together.
