Gen Muhoozi To Retire From UPDF This Year

The first son and Presidential advisor Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has revealed that he is going to retire from Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF) this year. He was appointed as the commander of the Land Forces in UPDF from 2020 to 2021.

When his father President Museveni won the 2021 general elections, Gen Muhoozi was appointed as the presidential advisor.

Muhoozi has been so active on Twitter speaking his mind and what he is going to do in the coming years. One of the things Gen Muhoozi has been talking about is becoming the president of Uganda after his father retires.

He has been talking about how his mother would be proud of him if he won the presidential seat. He also adds how he will be able to change lives of youth here in Uganda. However, to contest for the presidential seat, one has to first retire from the UPDF.

Gen Muhoozi who has an interest in ruling Uganda has announced that this year will be his last year in UPDF. Through his Twitter account, he revealed that Jesus is his only commander and in-chief as he prepares to retire.

“I also sang it because Jesus Christ is once again my ONLY Commander-in-Chief. I will be retiring from the UPDF this year,” he revealed.

It should be noted that Gen Muhoozi has been threatening neighboring countries like Kenya that he will one day wake up and capture it.
