Hiding His Family From The Media Was The Best Thing Kato Lubwama Did – Maulana

Comedian Maulana of the duo Maulana and Reign has appreciated the late legendary actor and journalist Kato Lubwama’s family privacy. He said one of the best things he did while on this earth is to hide his family from the media.

Kato Lubwama lived a celebrity life for more than 30 years. He was a radio presenter, an actor, he even went to Parliament representing Rubaga South.

However, for all those years he was a public figure, he never showed his family especially the children and wife in the media. He kept them far from the camera, he even never talked about them that much in his interviews he did on a daily.

It is so rare to find such a private person in today’s Ugandan entertainment industry. Most people show their children, parents and other relatives in the media.

The media is not something simple because most people especially on social media are so abusive. They even attack innocent babies of celebrities once they are posted.

To avoid all those negative comments, Kato Lubwama decided to keep everything private.

According to Maulana, Kato was very right. As a person, someone has to have some privacy and secrets that fans don’t know.

“Uncle Kato Lubwama eky’okukweka famire ye kyali kirungi kubanga ffenna twetaaga ebyama kubanga emikutu gy’amawulire si myangu,”– Maulana

It should be noted that Maulana’s family privacy was invaded longtime ago. His wife came to the media when they had disagreements yet before, he kept her from the camera with the children.
