Hiphop Was My Grass Root Before Joining Dancehall – John BLaq

John Blaq is one of the most favored and booked dance hall artistes in Uganda today. Last year was a blessed year for the fresh rapper Fik Fameica, but now this new kid on block has slightly replaced his position.

However, the “Obubadi” singer so far has only four hit singles, and they are all making money for him. But reportedly, the singer hinted about his breakthrough to the music industry. Hip hop was the very first style Blaq used to entertain fans with, and many revelers wonder how he used to sound.

“My first song was a called fire. It was a hip hop track. But, it didn’t perform well so I sat down and thought about something that would work,” John Blaq revealed.

Therefore, through advice from different people and close friends, the hit maker  had to specialize in dance hall, which indeed worked for him better. He’s now recognized among the most successful artistes currently.
