This is because she deemed lawyers as liars. She ended up pursuing social work at Makerere University.
She stated;
“The career guidance we received when joining university was limited. I didn’t want to be a lawyer because, at the time, lawyers were considered liars. So, I opted to become a social worker, and I pursued it at Makerere University.”
Speaking about her primary education, she stated how she studied at at a primary school known as Kiidiki. This was a Catholic-founded school. It had two sections, one for the boys and one for the girls.
Surprisingly, she opted to go to the boys section because gender differences never mattered to her and she was raised as a tomboy.
“I started my primary school at a local school called Kiidiki Primary School, a Catholic-founded institution. It had two sections—the Girls’ and Boys’ sections—but I chose to go to the Boys’ section. I was actually brought up as a tomboy, and being in the Boys’ section was fun because these gender differences never mattered to me.”
For secondary school, she joined Namagunga Girls which was an A-list school with some of the richest people’s kids in Uganda.
Musumba said that she might have been the poorest of them all. However, she did not feel so since they were only required to attend with school essentials.
On why she joined the opposition, she revealed that as a kid, she grew up experiencing both economic and political stress, living in fear. That is why she hates fear and despises anyone who imposes it on the population.
