Singer Planet Omutume Denies Ever Eating ‘Kikomando’ In His Life

Upcoming musician, the ‘Chai We’njaye’ hitmaker Planet Omutume has denied ever eating the common street food synonymous with ghetto youth ‘Kikomando’ in his life.

The singer has only been famous for a few months but fame is already driving him.

At times being famous is good but many people fail to handle fame for a longer time. When it comes to them, pride takes over and they end up losing what they had.

For Planet Omutume as young as he is, he became famous through TikTok where his song ‘Chai We’njaye’ started trending.

The media picked him from there and they started giving him a platform to showcase his talent. However, at the moment he is using media platforms to talk about his life and somehow brag about how he has been before fame.

In Uganda, the cheapest food that has kept the youth especially those earning little money going is ‘kikomando’. Although Planet Omutume describes himself as a ghetto youth, he said he has never tasted that type of food and he thinks he will never taste it.

According to him, the food might be nice but to him, it doesn’t look that appealing. He doesn’t find it nice like other people.

“My celebrity lifestyle has not affected my life that much. I have been in the ghetto but all the African foods I used to eat, I cannot eat African tortillas and beans [ Kikomando],” he revealed.
