Walukagga Advises Pallaso On How To Behave As He Now Represents Kabaka

Singer Mathias Walukagga has advised fellow singer Pius Mayanja also known as Pallaso to start behaving well in public. He said the singer should now know that he represents the Kabaka wherever he goes especially while in public.

This came after Pallaso was invited to perform at Kabaka’s 68th birthday ceremony that happened in the palace in Mengo.

In Buganda, the Kabaka is highly respected. Inviting you to perform for him or even get near him is a big blessing.

He rarely appears in public unless there is a function or something that needs him to be in public. That’s how unique he is.

A few artists are always invited to sing at his function. It is said that he only picks those he likes at the moment. This year, Pallaso got a chance to perform and even was hailed by the Kabaka for having good music.

According to Walukagga, an artiste performing for the Kabaka is a very big thing. He said the way Pallaso has been behaving needs to change because he is no longer an ordinary musician.

Being in the palace means someone has been assigned to show Buganda love and respect wherever they go.

“I am happy for Pallaso to have been invited to go and perform for the Kabaka. That is one of the biggest things and Muganda musician would like. But I am telling him to start behaving, those things of fighting he has been doing should stop. Pallaso is now an ambassador of Buganda and Kabaka which means he has to be at his best behavior all the time,” Walukagga said.
