Akon City Construction In Uganda To Commence By December

American singer Akon has revealed that the construction of Akon City in Uganda will commence in December 2023. He made this statement during his recent interview with NTV Uganda.

Akon talked about building his city in Uganda as he came to visit with his wife sometime in 2022. He had different talks with President Museveni of Uganda who gave him permission to continue with the project.

The president didn’t only stop at giving him permission but he also gave him land in Mukono District where to build his city.

Ever since that talk, there hasn’t been anything going on and Ugandans have been asking if the city will be built.

According to Akon, he first went to build a city in his home country Senegal. At the moment the city is almost complete and Uganda will be next.

The Senegalese-American singer also said he is now confident that he is going to fulfill the promise and plan for Akon City in Uganda.

“Akon City in Senegal is nearing its final stages, and we are now confident that the promise and plan for Akon City in Uganda will commence in December,” the artiste said.

It should be noted that Akon was attracted by Uganda’s nature and environment. He said the first time his wife visited Uganda, she was surprised by the weather and the greener environment.

That is the reason he decided to invest in Uganda as he knows more other people will be attracted.
