Bajjo And Abitex Form Their Own Promoters Federation

Music promoters and talent managers Bajjo real name Andrew Alfonso Mukasa and Abbey Musinguzi famously known as Abitex have formed their own promoters association. This came after Abitex was removed as the president of music promoters in the Uganda National Promoters Association (UNPA).

The reason for his removal was because he organized Alien Skin’s concert on the same date as Pallaso’s concert. This was organized by Balaam Barugahala.

In their constitution as promoters, organizing two concerts in the same area by different promoters is not allowed. As a way of punishing him, Abitex was asked to step down as the president which he didn’t take lightly. He said he can’t fail to lead promoters because forming the association was even his idea.

The promoter has now decided to start a Federation of his own with his fellow Bajjo. He said it is going to be better than his former association.

He also promised to help the young promoters who were not given a platform in the association. According to Abitex, the people that wanted him off as the president of promoters concocted lies.

He also revealed that the new federation will be about routing for promoters and helping them better their work.

“Me and Bajjo have started our own federation. I was told to step down in the association which I even started myself. Now that they no longer want me, I am going on with the Federation which will focus on the young promoters. This is going to better our work,” he said.
