Catherine Kusasira Fires Back At Ssemujju Nganda Over Her Salary

Singer Catherine Kusasira has fired back at MP Ssemujju Nganda over her state house salary. The Kira Municipality MP revealed that he wants the State House’s huge budget to be cut down.

According to the 2023-24 financial year, the President’s office was allocated Shs239 billion. The State House was given Shs421 billion. This is a heavy and bloated budget which Nganda feels should be slashed down.

Some of the things that he pointed out that need to be cut down include several presidential advisors such as Catherine Kusasira and Buchaman. Apparently these weren’t passed by the Parliament.

However, Kusasira advised him to stop jumping on everything for clout. She added that the MP some time back called upon her to be boycotted but luckily she still gets hired.

Furthermore, she didn’t divulge into the money the FDC cadre said is wrong. She said that she was content with it.

Additionally, the Golden Band singer appreciated President Museveni for appointing Rt Hon Robinah Nabbanja as the PM. This is because she’s a people person who goes on ground.

“I want to advise Ssemujju to stop trying to uproot people’s luck. The money I get is not that much like the MPs. I bet if he has ever put a coin in his constituency. That’s why I thank President Museveni for appointing Nabbanja. She actually gets on ground and sees the kind of work we do. Ssemujju even Once said I should be boycotted but luckily people still hire me,” said Kusasira.

The two getting on the payroll comes after months they regretted joining the NRM. Buchaman even stated that he was ready to rejoin the Bobi Wine if he called upon him.

Meanwhile, Hon Ssemujju revealed that the two earn a salary of Shs 2.3m per month.
