Doreen Nyanjura Says Hajjati Zura’s Case Is Exposing A Lot Of Sexual Predators In Uganda

The Deputy lord mayor of Kampala, Hon. Doreen Nyanjura has said that one thing that is for certain is that the infamous Hajjati Zura case is exposing untold levels of sexual predators in Uganda.

She said that ever since Hajjati Zura alleged that her husband sexually molested her underaged daughter, she’s been subjected to endless insults and diversions.

Many people have failed to stick to the substance of the matter. They are instead only pointing out how she “she changed her names and allegedly stole property from her ex-lovers.” The politician who is a feminist asked the public to stop the diversions and stick to the issue of molestation. And if they can’t, they should stop peddling lies and let the legal processes take course.

According to Nyanjura, the attacks and insults towards Hajjati are meant to scare and threaten girls from exposure to sexual predators in the future.

She added that the medical reports indicate that the 14-year-old girl was defiled. Therefore, justice needs to be served whatsoever.

Read her statement below;

“The anger & insults directed to Hajjat are meant to block and intimidate women/girls that might in future wish to publicly expose sexual predators. The medical report clearly indicated that the child was sexually abused. Can we be fair to the 14-year-old little girl and ensure that she gets justice? Just imagine it was your daughter that was molested. I refuse to join the diversions,” she said.

This case has had a lot of twists and turns from either side. At the start of everything, most people sided and sympathized with the Hajjati.

However, as time has gone by with different verbal testimonies from the people close to either party, they claim that she’s a serial liar a thing she has vehemently denied.
