Hackers Delete Parliament’s Twitter Page

It should be recalled that the action took place last month. A thing that threw the lawmakers into a state of disarray.

Obore in his statement said that they tried their level best with some of the best IT technicians, but they couldn’t recover it. However, they managed to retrieve the username and created a new account.

He apologized for any inconvenience caused and added that they won’t allow such shortfalls to reoccur in the future.

“The Parliament’s twitter account was hacked and despite our best efforts, we are not able to recover it. However, we were able to recover the username and have created a new account to ensure we continue providing updates and engage with you as we have always done,’

“We assure the public that we are taking all necessary steps to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. We urge you to follow our new account @Parliament _Ug for plenary updates and official communication from parliament,” Obore further said in his statement.

Meanwhile, the House spent the whole of yesterday eulogizing the late state minister for labour, Col Charles Okello Engola.

Engola was murdered by his guard is set to be laid to rest at his ancestral home in Oyam district. This will be at 2pm at Awangi village in Iceme sub county.
