Purple party fans raging with anger after Douglas posts a picture of him in a shirt with the words ‘I Miss Purple Party’. This message was directed to the president as his caption read on his different social media platforms.
His fans expressed their disappointment in him saying he is a very selfish person
Most of them were asking the After 5 show presenter, if he has ever helped any of his fans. Their qerry was that people have gone through a lot during the Covid season. Douglas is apparently selfishly looking at just milking them of the little money they are left with. It was all mixed feelings however because some of the fans actually sided with the NBS presenter.
The president put a stop to such concerts to cub the spread of coronavirus because of the big number of people they bring together. By the time this order was out in place, the purple party was just weeks away from happening. This means the initiator, Douglas Lwanga made incredible losses.
We can however give him a benefit of a doubt because this too is his source of income. Actually no one threw eggs at the party, but at the fact that he has never openly come out to offer financially help to anyone. Perhaps his fans needed him to give back to them for all the years they have supported him and the things he stands for.
The TV star has not yet come out to day anything about this incident. We can’t guarantee however that he will come out. He is one of the few calm media personalities that we have in the industry.
