I Can Never Betray My President -Kabaya Says

There have been swirling reports around social media of how long-serving Fire Base Crew member, Kabaya ditched the Kamwokya crew. However, he has come out to quash the reports, brandishing them as false.

The rumor started after Kabaya was invited to president Museveni’s swearing-in ceremony in Kololo amongst other artistes.

However, the singer turned down the request saying that it was impossible for him to go to such a ceremony of his boss’ nemesis.

“I was sent an invitation letter but did not go there. Bobi Wine has been an integral part of both my life and music career and there is no way I can betray him. I don’t know where these reports are from that I betrayed Firebase. To be honest I did not even attend the ceremony.”

The singer is most famous for his collaboration with Bobi Wine on the song “Ayagala Mulaasi”. They released it in the early 2010’s.

He has remained an active member of the crew despite not releasing any major music in the last couple of years.

The swearing-in ceremony that took place on 12th May had some artists in attendance. They include among others, Full Figure, Dj Michael, Catherine Kusasira. These are perennial NRM supporters in the Ugandan entertainment world.
