Journalists Treated To Mimi Roast & Rhyme Experience

The mini Roast & Rhyme experience at Jabari Pier turned out to be a wonderful experience yesterday afternoon. Swangz Avenue in collaboration with Bell Lager decided to host members of the media.

They called this a warmup session for the forthcoming Reggae Ragga Nyam Nyam edition of Roast and Rhyme. It is slated to take place on February, 26  at Jahazi Pier.

“We are here to give you a taste of what to expect come 26th February. Bell Lager will be on hand to deliver Mpola Enjoyments, complete with live reggae music, the right vibes for you and your crew, tasty varieties of meat and ice-cold Bell Lager,” Justin Agaba, Bell Lager’s representative, said while addressing the attendees.

The Double Black band entertained the guests at the engagement and were behind Azawi’s African music and Winnie Nwagi’s Fire concerts. The band also entertained guests with covers of popular reggae hits from both new and old schools.

At the main event on 26th, the band will perform alongside Maddox Sematimba, Nutty Neithan among others.

Benon Mugumbya, the veteran artist and producer MC’d the event and gave it a “Rastaman Vinration” dance challenge. Several guests joined the challenge getting a chance to win gifts from the sponsors.

They also slaughtered and grilled a goat for the engagement though other guys grilled their own meat.
