The two ladies, belonging to different religious lineages in sicilia, had traveled for a missionary trip in Africa, but now are facing a social out-cast within the Roman Church.

According to reports from local media, one of the nuns discovered she was pregnant when she went to the healthcare centre complaining of stomach pain, while the other quickly found out she was a few weeks pregnant.

However, one of nuns who belonged to a convent in Sicilia’s Nebrodi mountains moved to a place called Palama to prepare for childbirth and she considers giving up conventual life.

There is a perturbation at this news. It seems that both ladies traveled back to their home countries and it’s obvious that they engaged in sexual relationships, according to a local news resource in Rome.

Earlier this year, Pope Francis said that bishops and priests have taken advantage of the nuns by using them in sexual slavery.
