We Are Confident Of Our Victory In Gogonyo – NRM’s Rosemary Sseninde

NRM Director for mobilization and cadre development, Rosemary Sseninde has said they are very confident of their victory in Gogonyo by-elections in Palisa district. She says it’s going to be a landslide win for Derrick Orone.

“For us as NRM, we are very confident and want to re-assure the people of Uganda, particularly the NRM supporters, that we came to win and not to lose. We are assured of winning. We know the candidate we are campaigning for has the message we deliver to voters,” Sseninde said.

Seninde says they have mobilized well so she has confidence the people will appreciate the message.

“We have mobilized and strategized well. We also have confidence that the people will appreciate our message. It is the NRM government implementing its manifesto. We have made sure that the people understand that electing a candidate that works well with the government will usher in development and improve service delivery to their society.”

For all the by-elections that have so far been done, NRM has been winning them. Much as the opposition has been laying claims that there have been a number of irregularities in these elections, EC says these are nothing but baseless accusations.

FDC Backs Out To Support NUP

The party revealed that it will be redirecting all its efforts towards supporting NUP candidate Joseph Okoboi Opolot. Opolot is vying to become the Gogonyo County Member of Parliament. The decision comes after court throwing out Gogonyo County Member of Parliament Derrick Orone over election malpractice.
