Winnie Mandela Dies

The Ex-wife of the prestigious Nelson mandela Winnie passed away on 2^nd April 2018.

Winnie died at Johannesburg hospital aged 81 years. Her death was announced by her spokesperson Victor Dlamini.

Victor revealed that the anti-apartheid campaigner Winnie was covered in a long illness that took away her life.

He said: “She died after a long illness, for which she had been in and out of hospital since the start of the year. She succumbed peacefully in the early hours of Monday afternoon.

Who’s Winnie Mandela?

Nomzamo Winifred Zanyiwe Madikizela alias Winnie Mandela was born on 26th September 1936.

In 1958, she married Nelson in Johannesburg for over 38 years and they had two children.

Mandela and winnie separated in 1992 and finalized their divorce in March 1996 with an unspecified out-of-court settlement.
