Ziza Bafana On Why Being A Celebrity In Uganda Isn’t Easy

Self-proclaimed ‘Katonda wa Raggae’ Ziza Bafana, has revealed why being a celebrity in Uganda is not as easy as people think it is. The singer has been in the music industry for more than seven years.

He sure has seen it all, he has had his ups and downs. When he separated with former manager Roger Lubega, he disappeared from the lime light for some time.

He said he was still figuring out how life is going to be after he had put his fame and trust in the manager. The talented man said he had to settle his mind and know that being a celebrity is not easy so that he can bounce back stronger and clear.

According to Ziza Bafana, Uganda’s music industry grows every day, it doesn’t stop. Even the time he was in a break he thought he was going to lose it to the young artistes.

Just during Covid-19, almost 10 artistes rose up and some have managed to keep on top of their careers like Mudra D Viral, Anknown and others.

However, some artistes have fallen like A Pass and it is becoming hard for them to find their way back to the industry.

“Being a celebrity in Uganda isn’t easy since it’s a growing industry. I am telling you once you rest, the young people will take you on. I remember when I was on a break I was in fear because coming back is always hard. Now see how many artistes rose to fame in Covid-19 and how many lost it” Ziza Bafana said.
