Eddy Kenzo On Why Musicians Aspire To Meet President Museveni

Singer and now president of UNMF Eddy Kenzo real name Edirisa Musuuza has revealed why musicians aspire to meet President Museveni. He said the music industry is very important to government because it creates many job opportunities for people.

Eddy Kenzo for a long time used to never show the side he supports politically. He was a friend to Bobi Wine and his entire family. At the same time, he was meeting President Museveni which shows he also supports him politically. Whenever they asked who he supports, he would say he is not a politician and he supports none.

However, he has become the president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) and has also come out to reveal he stands on the yellow side of the aisle. He is leaning more to the government.

He said whenever Bobi Wine sees something that is bringing musicians together, he tries to smash it down. Bobi Wine has been warning musicians against meeting the president of Uganda Museveni but Eddy Kenzo says as artists they aspire to meet him. The main reason they want to meet the president is that they are not just musicians but also job creators.

“As musicians, we aspire to meet the President because through our music, we not only entertain but also create numerous employment opportunities for people,” -Eddy Kenzo said.
