John Blaq Blames Artiste’s Poverty On Themselves

Singer Kassada John also known as John Blaq has revealed that Ugandan artistes are poor because of themselves. He said the way they do certain things has greatly influenced them and the way they have to actually make money.

John Blaq became famous in 2018 but after getting issues with his manager, he started fading away. He hasn’t had a hit song in almost two years. According to the singer, when he realized that what he was doing wasn’t bringing in as much money as he expected.

He was putting in so much money and he wasn’t gaining anything in return. He revealed that he took a step back to refocus and see how he was going to get money out of music. That is the reason why he is strategic in releasing music.

“Most musicians are poor and this greatly influences how they do things. When I started singing, I was putting in so much money and I wasn’t getting anything in return. That is why I now have to think twice before releasing a song,” John Blaq said

It should be noted that there are artistes who are famous but they are struggling with rent and food on a daily basis. A number of them have also faded away and have been thrown out of their homes because of accumulating rent arrears.

Lilian Mbabazi, and Grace Khan among others have all faced it hard yet they are or used to be famous. Therefore, John Blaq’s statement might be right after all.
