Father Kills 12-Year-Old Son, Injured 8-Year-Old Daughter Over Fruits

A Kenyan father by the names of Morris Kirema killed his youngest son and also injured his eight year old daughter and his wife during morning hours on Thursday accusing them of stealing avocado fruits from a neighbor’s garden in Mbaranga, Meru County.

Police and the residents are still looking for the suspect, Kirema Morris who immediately went into hiding after an awful act, ‘’said the OCPD of Tigania East.

The injured girl and her mother who are in critical condition are currently undergoing medical treatment at Muthara Sub-County hospital, according to Nairobi News.

The locals said that the owner of the farm where Kirema’s children stole some fruits from still needs to be paid.

Morris Kirema, 35 is reportedly said to have threatened to kill his children for stealing fruits from neighbor’s farm as soon as they get back home from school.

When the children returned back home, he attacked the boy with blows, kicks and also cut him with a panga, he also attacked his wife and daughter who’s now suffering with cuts on her legs, when the neighbors came in to rescue, the boy had died,’’Mr Mutuma.

Mr Mutuma said the man was already addicted to drinking alcohol and betting and this must have caused this family disputes.

Kirema became annoyed the moment he was asked for money to buy foods, there has been disagreements at the betting center where he’s said to have lost money.
