Gospel Singer Lanek Alleges President Museveni Won’t Open The Art Industry

Self-proclaimed president of gospel artists in Uganda Lanek has come out to allege that he dreamt that President Museveni will not open the entertainment industry in his forthcoming address.

Lanek who has turned himself into some sort of weird character with his awkward antics took to the streets to make these utterances. He further added that they have given schools and other sectors a clear program.

The entertainment sector however still hangs in the air as they don’t know anything pertaining to their line of work.

Lanek further pleaded with President Museveni to open the industry because they have done everything required of them. He cited how some artists have started organizing concerts outside Uganda and flying out.

“I dreamt that President Museveni won’t open up the entertainment industry. Bhat did we do to you Mzee. Tell us we ask for forgiveness. Schools, boda bodas, and other sectors are lined up for reopening but not us. We were told to go to Gulu and we went. They told us to join associations and we did. Many artists have now started to sing outside of Uganda in Mutukula. The other time Fresh kid was on a plane leaving Uganda. Please ‘father’ reopen us too,” a comical Lanek pleaded on one of the Kampala streets.

President Museveni will address the nation on Friday 31st December 2021. It’s through this address that many also expect him to give a clear road map on the reopening of the economy.

There are however some fears that the president could impose a 21-day lockdown because of the surging cases of COVID-19.
