Lands Ministry Unveils Call Centre

In an effort aimed to reduce rampant land evictions, Ministry of Land, Housing and Urban Development, has launched free call centre.

Lands, housing and Urban Development Minister, Judith Nabakooba vowed to end all forms of  land evictions and improve accountability in lands  office

Nabakooba in a statement said that the appointing authority, President Yoweri Museveni entrusted her with the office to bring an end to the rampant illegal land evictions in the country.

“These illegal evictions have made life so difficult for many Ugandans. Many families throughout the country are living under the fear of the unknown.” as she launched lands call centre

Nabakooba said that the call center has a Toll-Free Line 0800 100 004 for the public to call on urgent issues of land.

“I therefore urge the public to use this Toll Free line for the following purposes,”Nabakooba said.

She urged the public to report cases of illegal Land evictions, incidents of corruption and bribery, follow up on reports of delayed land transactions.

The call centre will also be used to record complaints and reports on poor service delivery and absenteeism and report fraud and forgeries and those abating in land, Housing and Urban Development sector.
