Mesach Semakula Pledges To Continue With Evelyn Lagu’s Charity Concert Despite Her Death

Legendary singer Papa Mesach Semakula has pledged to continue with Evelyn Lagu’s charity concert despite her death. He made this pledge during the burial that took place at her ancestral home in Kalungu Masaka.

Before the singer died, she had organized a concert at Mesach Semakula venue known as Papaz Spot. The concert was set to take place on 28th October 2023 and it was to collect money to look after her and pay for some of her personal bills.

Unfortunately, she died before making it happen and fans were wondering if the concert would continue or if it would totally stop.

According to Mesach, Evelyn Lagu has left a son behind who needs help financially. He is still young and his mother who has been helping him is gone.

He said the concert has to go on by all means. The artiste who had promised her to perform for her should show up.

Mesach called upon all other musicians whom Evelyn Lagu hadn’t invited at the show to come and help raise something to look after her son.

“Evelyn Lagu had requested a venue to stage her charity concert and I had offered it to her on 28th October 2023. Now that she is gone, I would like us to continue with the concert. We all know she has left a son behind and he needs financial help. Artistes should come up and we do a concert for Evelyn Lagu as she had organized,” he said.
