Miles Rwamiti Quits Spark TV, Joins Politics

Miles Rwamiti has decided to quit television for politics. He has been working on Nation Media specifically Spark TV on a show known as Koona. This show was first aired on NTV but because they wanted to increase viewership on Spark, it was pushed there. He has worked on this show for a period of 8 years and has definitely added a milestone in the entertainment industry.

Rwamiti decided to quit to concentrate on his political career. He is currently contesting for the Hoima East MP seat. His workmates threw him a farewell party yesterday during the show he has been doing. He was definitely very grateful for the opportunity he was given to appear on TV. He thanked his fans for always being loyal to him, the show, and the station.

Rwamiti is one of the old names in the media industry, especially in entertainment shows. You can not mention media personalities who have stood the test of time and his name fails to surface. He has also worked with the vision group before on there Bukedde television. Miles Rwamiti is not the first media personality to quit media for politics. Muyanga Lutaaya in 2019 quit NBS for politics.

Some, however, even while fulfilling their political dreams are still very much into media. A case for in point can be Kayima Shafik who works for Nation Media and currently contesting for a seat in parliament. It doesn’t look like he is about to quit media unless it will just happen.

The only issue with this is that most times these personalities completely disappear from the limelight. Worse still when they don’t make it, they find it hard to get back to media business because of all the time they take off the scene.
