Minister Chris Baryomunsi And General Muhoozi Clash Over Late Nebanda’s Death

The Minister of Information, Communications Technology and National Guidance, Dr Chris Baryomunsi has advised political actors who use the saga of the late Mp, Cerinah Nebanda to let her rest in peace. Baryomunsi says that he doesn’t understand why these political actors always use this saga to try and discredit him.

The Kinkizi East MP added that these should let this tired story rest. Besides he’s proud of the role he played in the investigations of the late MP’s death.

“I’m always amused by political actors whom whenever I confront with facts, resort to the ‘tired’ Nebanda story of 2012. Instead of responding to the issues. I’m proud of the role I played in investigating the death of the late MP. Please leave Hon Nebanda to continue RIP,” said Baryomunsi.

This followed Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s comments about Baryomunsi. While on the NBS Frontline, Baryomunsi said that the government’s position on Muhoozi is that he’s a serving military officer. Therefore the politicking he’s always doing is wrong and should stop.

Muhoozi responded by saying that he remembers how he and his father planned to arrest Baryomunsi in 2012. This was while he was a rebel MP but they just let him off the hook.

“I remember planning with my father to arrest this gentleman back in 2012. When he was a ‘Rebel’ MP,” Muhoozi quoted Baryomunsi’s tweet. There and then the Muhoozi brigade started right away by attacking Baryomunsi.

MP Daudi Kabanda who was recently promoted by Muhoozi to the spokesperson of the Buganda MK Army reawakened the Nebanda story. He said that the Minister should stop pretending like he loves President Museveni so much.
