Musicians Federation Confirms Helping Lilian Mbabazi With Her Huge Rental Arrears

The Uganda National Musicians Federation led by singer Eddy Kenzo has confirmed helping out singer Lilian Mbabazi with her huge rental arrears. This was confirmed by another singer, Hanson Baliruno who has a big position in this federation.

It should be noted that the former Blu 3 singer was in the news last week over failing to pay rent for over 15 months. Her landlord ran to Police to have her arrested and evicted.

It was further reported that her arrears accumulated to about 24m shillings. Through a phone call with her landlord, the singer requested him to be patient as she was going to clear him soon.

Some reports had it that she had cleared 10m shillings but was still kicked out. And also reports said that the Federation had promised her some money and it seems it indeed lived up to the promise.

Although Baliruno couldn’t confirm the money and amount, he said that the issue had been resolved. The landlord, Lilian, and her kids are now all happy. Besides she’s also working in the federation as the secretary of the SACCO.

“Well, Lilian is actually one of the hardworking people and she’s now with us in the federation. She is actually the secretary of the federation’s SACCO. For the rent arrears, God sorted out everything. It doesn’t matter how but the landlord, Lilian and the kids are now all happy,” he said.

Meanwhile, the federation is slated to have a delegates conference today. This comes after heavy criticism from different musicians who aren’t members.

Even those who have been members before have been quitting and coming out to brand it a scam.
