Nobert Mao Swallows His Own Words About Transition Of Power With Museveni

It looks like DP president, Nobert Mao, has slowly and indirectly started to concede defeat in his union with the NRM regarding the transition of power.

Mao shocked many a while ago when he joined efforts with the ruling government. Consequently, he was appointed the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs.

There and then Mao stated that one of his primary goals was to oversee the peaceful transition of power from Museveni to another leader, a thing the East African country has never experienced.

Mao even laughed at his fellow opposition leaders whom he had left behind as spectators to watch as he played the role of Moses of delivering Ugandans to the promised land.

The country was shocked however during a recent interview when President Museveni denied talking about a transition with Mao.

He said that it was never the basis of their union and maybe its just Mao’s approach and insinuation.

Mao has now said that it’s better to plan for transition rather than being pushed into it unexpectedly.

The DP president scored himself an own goal when he said that it’s true they didn’t discuss transition. They only expressed their aspirations for a peaceful handover of power.

“It is better to plan for a transition rather than being plunged into a transition. I’m glad that President Museveni’s recent interview cleared the air. We did not discuss the details of transition. All we stated was our aspiration for a peaceful and democratic presidential transition.”

A number of politicians especially from the opposition and those who have worked with the regime and deserted it laughed at Mao. These said that it’s better he finds out the true colors of president personally.
