FulFill Your Promise Regarding Ssewanyana And Segirinya – Lord Mayor Lukwago To Nobert Mao

Mayor Erias Lukwago has urged Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister Norbert Mao to keep his promise about Allan Ssewanyana and Muhammad Ssegirinya upon assuming the ministerial position.

Mao had promised that the two MPs will attain justice as soon as possible. Lukwago said this at the special mass dedicated to the two jailed legislators.

“It goes without saying that justice delayed is justice denied. I would like to extend my message with a lot of humility to Hon Norbert Mao to fulfill your promise, your words should not be political. This is painful and we are seeking justice,” he said.

David Lewis Rubongoya, the NUP secretary general also said the abductions of people have resumed again in drones. For this cause, he said the clergy should step into the situation.

“As I speak right now drones are back, the abductions of our innocent people have resumed. Here at Makindye one of our members was abducted. We spent more than three days searching for him. After a lot of consultation, we realized our comrade was taken to Chieftaincy Of Military Intelligence (CMI),” he said.

Meanwhile, Mao has in word been saying he is working on this matter but he apparently found a lot of pending work at the office. The two legislators in question have been in jail for now a full year and a month.
