Okoth Ochola Honored For Exemplary Leadership

Martin Okoth Ochola, the IGP of the Uganda Police Force received honors during the 61st Independence Day celebrations in Kitgum District. He received the honors along with 10 other distinguished officers yesterday.

President Yoweri Museveni rewarded the IGP Okoth Ochola with the Exemplary Service Order 1st Class medal.

He received the accolade for his exceptional leadership, community engagement, pacification efforts, transforming the image of the Uganda Police Force, and unwavering support of its mission.

The other ten officers recognized for their exceptional contributions include; – AIGP Damulira Christopher, the director Crime Inteligence. AIGP Ochaya James, Director of Research Planning and Development at Uganda Police.

These received awards for the Exemplary Service Order 2nd Class for their exemplary service in their tenure.

Former AIGP (RTD) Balimoyo Moses received the Centenary Medal. AIGP Kitesa Elizabeth received the Distinguished Service Medal. And AIGP Twaruhukwa Erasmus got recognition for long service with good conduct.

CP Kyasiimire Diana Bugondo received the Silver Medal as SSP Tumwebaze Doreen earned the Meritorious Service Medal.

Corporal Mulabanaku Siragi received the Personal Sacrifice Medal. Miss Ndagano Rose Laticia got the Honorary Medal, acknowledging her significant contributions to the police force.
