Pia Pounds Excited As Tupaate Hits 1M Views

The remix of Pia Pounds’ hit song Tupaate where she features Eddy Kenzo and Mc Africa, has surpassed the 1m views mark on YouTube. This has happened with the original of the song not far off with 963k views and shoe couldn’t hide her excitement.

Tupaate is by far, Pia Ponds’ biggest song since she rose to the scene a few years ago. The original song became a hit almost a year after its initial release.

And it’s success can be attributed to the viral “It’s a Friday” social media videos by Mc Africa. He later got a chance to meet his idol Pia.

Pia Pounds, in a way of showing her gratitude, hooked up MC Africa with a collabo together with her former boss at Big Talent, Eddy Kenzo.

Initially, the remix got a backlash for the amateurish lyrics revealed by Kenzo and MC Africa, but later gained momentum on the charts.

And over the weekend, the song hit a million views on YouTube, very much to the excitement of Pia Pounds and Eddy Kenzo.

She immediately rushed to her social media to share the good news. “We just hit our first 1m views on YouTube,” she wrote on her Facebook.

Eddy Kenzo also congratulated her upon the milestone.
