Meet The Second Richest Man In Africa After Dangote

When we talk of wealth, it means real cash in most cases, though Africa is regarded as the poorest continent, its also gifted with people that know how to make money, Nigeria is the country in Africa with the top billionaires followed by South Africa and Egypt. We want to talk about the second richest man in Africa.

A Nigerian business man by the names of Mike Adenuga Jr is now the second richest man in Africa after Aliko Dangote who is also a Nigerian, it is reported that just one year ago Adenuga had only $4 billion, you wonder how he managed to make more $6 billion in just that short period and as of now, he is worth $10.1 billion fortune, according to forbes.

He qualifies the second richest man!

Adenuga was born in 1953 in Lagos, Nigeria to his father Micheal Adenuga Sr who was a school teacher and his mother Juliana Adenuga who was a business woman. Adenuga attended his secondary school education at Ibadan Grammer School, after completing his secondary school, there was no one to pay for his University education, he got a chance to move to United States of America where he joined Pace University in New York and North-western Oklahoma State University with degrees in Business Administration.

When he came back home in early 90s, he was given a drilling license which allowed him to extract oil from the shallow waters of southwestern Ondo state.

In the year 1999, he set-up his tele-communications company known as Globacom which is now Nigeria’s second largest telecom operator with 32 million subscribers, and it has branches in Benin, Cote’dvoire aswell as Ghana. Adenuga has shares in the oil exploration firm known as Conoil and in Equitorial Trust Bank.
