Sheila Gashumba Throws Controversial Party Amidst Covid-19

Sheila Gashumba over the weekend threw a lavish party amidst Covid-19. She partnered with a new wine brand as a marketing strategy. This party was graced by a number of celebrities like Irene Ntale, Judith heard, Betinah and many others. The public has since come out to demand that authorities question Sheila because she violated the presidents directives.

It should be noted that social gatherings were forbidden and up to now no one has come out to authorize them. The big question however is why up to now the police has not yet called Sheila Gashumba for questioning. The photos on social media don’t show any of them in masks or any kind of social distance from each other.

One may say that perhaps the authorities were notified about this party but how right would that be? Recently some politicians were arrested for having a huge number of people around them. Not so long ago, the Health Minister Dr. Jane Acheng Ruth received backlash from the public and politicians because of a video she appeared in surrounded by s number of people with no precautions taken.

Are some animals more Equal than others? Is it that the police has not yet been given information on this party or it was negligible? Currently the COVID cases in the country are above 3000, one would think now is the time to be more careful. Or take all precautions as advised by the health ministry. Surprisingly we are spilling the milk at the breakfast table since most people are living like COVID does not exist and yet it is at it’s peak.
