I Don’t Want Lionel Messi Anywhere Near Premier League – Liverpool’s Andy Robertson

Liverpool’s defender Andy Robertson came out and clearly said since Liverpool said they won’t be able to sign Lionel Messi from Barcelona, he therefore doesn’t want to see the Argentine professional player anywhere near Premier league.

Many football fans are speculating that the star has probably agreed to sign a deal with Manchester City. Camp Nou side meanwhile is yearning to keep the star.

Andy Robertson claimed the games against Messi were very challenging and gave him hard time in his career.

He recalls two seasons ago when Liverpool faced Barcelona in Champions League where the game ended 3-0 first leg in favour of Barcelona and the star scored two goals after he single-handedly beat the Liverpool’s defence.

I think Liverpool have ruled out that we could sign him so I don’t want him anywhere near the Premier League and hopefully it stays that way. I’ve played against him twice and it’s the hardest games I’ve ever played.” Robertson said.
