The occupants of Ngolo Village were blamed of intentionally destroying pipes which take water to the neighborhood in the region of Mbeya.

According to governor Chalamila Albert, all occupants of that village are held responsible and they should be arrested nor matter their condition.

Police deployed a number of vans on Thursday to arrest villagers, according to Matei Ulrich, the regional police commander.

They undermined the Nation’s economy. The government paid money, fixed the water pipes and finally villages destroyed them deliberately! We can’t allow this,’’said  Matei.

The police commander said he had deployed enough police cars equipped with enough fuel to get them arrested.

However, the arrest plan remains incomplete , but this village which is gifted with enemies of progress is said to have a population of approximately 1,600 and it lies in a region where water is scarce.
