Woman Murdered Seven Family Members On Spot

Woman Murdered Seven Family Members On Spot

A woman identified as Lydia Kyomuhangi left a lot of shock to the residents of Nombe II B village, Kashari County, Mbarara district, after killing 7 members of her family on Sunday evening.

It’s believed that Lydia persuaded six of her grandchildren with simple eats, gathered them, locked them inside a family Kitchen, and used a panga to cut them to death. This woman also killed her daughter Annet Kyomugisha, who was bedridden after suffering a serious injuries.

This woman also attempted to kill her husband identified as George Koma Hangamaisho before the suspect went into hiding. She was later found by angry mob, who also bit her to death yesterday morning.

It is reportedly said that the husband, Hangamaisho is apparently receiving treatment at Mbarara regional referral hospital, while the dead bodies have been collected and taken in mortuary.

Among the deceased include Apophia Kanshabe (10), Osbert Nuwamanya (8), Oscar Tarimweba (5), Claire Ankunda (5), Addela Orishaba, 9 months and Mercy Owomugisha, 6 months.

Some residents told our reporter that the woman had a mental illness and she was lacking medical attention, though they never expected her to do such a dangerous act.
