Students Perform Haka Dance For Their Deceased Teacher

Dawson Tameta, who was a physical education & math teacher at Palmerston North Boy’s high school died in a sleep at the age of 55 years on July 20th and had been a teacher at the school for over 30 years. The haka dance that is famously known internationally due to its prominence in the rugby union football was performed by at least 1,700 boys at the high school in New Zealand’s north Island.

This was very emotional and powerful, we are grateful of our boys performance & know that Mr. Tamenta is also pleased to,”The school wrote on it’s you tube channel.

Haka dance is the various traditional dance normally carried out by Men, it is also used at important occasions to honour respected guests and also at funerals.

Performers in the haka dance slap their hands, stamp their feet & distort their faces while moaning loudly.
