7 New Envoys Accredited To Uganda Presented Their Credentials To Museveni

The president of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni  welcomes His Excellency Dr Aziz Ponary Mlima of the United Republic of Tanzania this afternoon at the State House Entebbe.

Again, I pass my sincere condolences to the people of Tanzania following last week’s ferry disaster that left over 200 people dead,’’Museveni said.

His Excellency John Carlos, the new Irish ambassador, is most welcome. I thank him for conveying greetings from President Michael Higgins and for crediting Uganda’s refugee policy.

Uganda will seek to strengthen its trade and tourism relationship with Portugal. This was my message as I welcome Ambassador Antonio Gasper Inocencio of Republic of Portugal.

Trade, education, politics, health and agriculture are some of the key areas of cooperation Uganda and the Kingdom of Morocco will focus on as His Excellency Abdelilah Benryane assumes office. I welcome him.

I also welcome High Commissioner Julius Kiema Kilonzo of Kenya, His Excellency Agrina Mussa of Malawi and His Excellency Bernardo Constantino of Mozambique.

Uganda will continue to strengthen its political and economic bonds with these brotherly countries,’’Museveni added.
