Academic Documents Raising Issues In Parliament, Who Is To Blame?

Lately, academic documents have been a topic in the media, especially for the newly elected parliamentarians. The question is who is to blame? The truth of the matter is verification took place or so we think under the leadership of the electoral commission. Before any candidate is given a go-ahead to take part in the different contests, their academic papers must have been verified.

So then, how come now issues are rising when elections are done. Mohammed Ssegirinya is now under vetting as his academic documents are questionable. Apparently, he forged the papers to qualify for the member of Parliament sit. If this is proven, right then the EC will nullify these elections.

Why now though? How did the EC deem him qualified for the contest? We are sure that the electoral commission has a committee responsible for the verification of documents? Aren’t they competent enough? Did they do their job? There are so many questions to ask in this case because some things don’t add up.

However, the people have reacted to this case and they seem unbothered. Most people are saying they need parliamentarians who are going to work for them and Ssegirinya is one of them. How this case will end, we are not sure but one thing is that it will not be an easy one to just play with.
